Asgard began as a digital server named math-test.mat.jhu.edu graciously housed in Professor Jian Kong’s office in Krieger Hall, Johns Hopkins University. Due to an incident involving TribalWar, the server was shutdown and asgard came into being. Asgard started as a Dell 600SC server that I bought thanks to fatwallet while attending Johns Hopkins University. It began its online existence using the meager bandwidth provided by Comcast Cable and Verizon DSL. As I began to use increasingly large amount of bandwidth, it became clear that a meager 128kbps of upload is simply not enough. Thus came the search for a colocation facility as well as a new 1U server, and this lead us back to now!
